I still get excited over the “basic” features or functions that you get with the Alexa smart assistants. While I didn’t initially think that I’d need these features, knowing about the outside temperature and weather forecast does help me plan out my day better.

Note: When asking the Alexa device for temperature, you don’t have to worry about staying limited to the current temperature outside your house. You can also specify the city and the location that you wish to analyze.
Say you’re traveling to another state, just ask Alexa about the outside temperature or weather conditions in (state name), and the smart assistant will pull up the weather records right away. You can also get creative with this command and try pairing up some external sensors to regulate the thermostat.
Even though I’ve been using the Alexa smart assistant for years, I still find new and cool ways to optimize my smart assistant. So, you can experiment with different features, test out IFTTT solutions, and much more! The only limit is your imagination, and you can completely transform your smart ecosystem.
